Laurels were heaped on Dhanush at the music launch of his forthcoming film 'Uthamaputhiran' at a grand function in Chennai Tuesday night.

The crowded event was attended by many top guns of Tamil film industry, including Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan, Sun Pictures chief executive officer Hansraj Saxena, popular film producers, directors Vettrimaran, Subramania Siva, Mithran Jawahar, actors Dhanush, Vivek and Genelia among others.

In his address, Dhanush said, "Uthamaputhiran is a beautiful entertainer. Though it is a remake of a Telugu film (Ready), director Mithran has made enough changes to the script to suit Tamil audience". He also appreciated his heroine in the movie Genelia and the music composer Vijay Antony.

Expressing delight at working with Dhanush again, Mithran Jawahar, who had directed the actor earlier for 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' and 'Kutty', said, "I am happy to do three-in-a-row with a vibrant actor like Dhanush".

Hansraj Saxena said that Sun Pictures would love to present the film. "We have already distributed Dhanush's ‘Padikadhavan’ and ready to present two more movies of him- ‘Aadukalam and Maappillai’", he said.

s the film Uthama puthiran has finally finished the shoot and is well into the post-production process, Dhanush has been very happy with the results of the film. The movie is a remake of the famous film Ready in Telegu and Dhanush expects the Tamil version of the film to do really well at the box.

Dhanush told the media recently that the film would be really good to see and a funny twist would be embedded in the story itself which would make it different from the original flick. He said that he was really happy with the way his father-in-law's film has worked out and he wanted his film to do well too.

Film is set to be released during the Diwali Festival in early November.
